Privacy Policy

The short version: Cryvane has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and the developer receives no information that identifies you. To show prices, the app sends the coins you open or search for, plus your currency, to a data relay run by the developer, as explained below.

Who we are

Cryvane ("the app", "we") is a crypto price, chart and news tracker. Questions about this policy: umerakmalpak@icloud.com.

What we receive

No identity and no tracking. The app has no sign-in, no accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, no tracking and no in-app purchases, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising. We, the developer, do not receive your name, e-mail address, contact details or device identifier. The requests the app makes to load prices, and the technical logs they can leave, are described under "Data relay".

What stays on your device

To work the way you expect, the app stores the following only on your device:

• your watchlist and its order;
• your chosen currency, theme and language, and whether you have seen the welcome screen;
• the last market data and news headlines it loaded, so the app opens quickly and still works offline;
• coin logos and news images, in a temporary image cache that the system manages.

This information stays on your device, and the app does not use your device's advertising identifier. Everything here can be removed from inside the app (see "Your choices and deletion" below), and deleting the app removes it too.

Third parties your device contacts directly

To show the latest information, the app connects from your device to other services. Like any web request, these services receive your device's IP address and standard technical details (such as the app's network user agent). Each service's own privacy policy applies.

• The data relay (see below), for prices, charts, coin statistics and search results.
• A public market-data provider: the relay forwards requests to it, and if the relay is unavailable the app asks the provider directly. To fetch prices, a request names the coins and the currency; a search includes the words you type. None of it contains your name or an e-mail address, because the app has none.
• The servers that host coin logos.
• The servers that host news images: pictures shown with headlines and story cards load directly from the publishers' servers (or the content networks they use), so a publisher can see your device's IP address when an image loads.
• News publishers: the app reads the publishers' public RSS feeds to show headlines. When you tap a headline, the article opens on the publisher's own website in an in-app browser, and that website's policy and cookies apply to your visit.

Data relay

To keep API keys out of the app and to reduce load on the data provider, the app asks a small relay operated by the developer, hosted on a cloud hosting platform, for the coins and search words you request and for your currency. The relay checks the request, forwards it to the data provider and lets the answer be cached for a short time. It uses no cookies, has no accounts and is not used for tracking or advertising. The relay and its host see your device's IP address and may keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, time and requested path) for operation and abuse protection. The hosting platform keeps these logs for a limited time, typically days. They are not linked to an identity, and we do not use them to identify you, to track you or for advertising. If the relay is unavailable, the app asks the public data provider directly, and that provider then sees your device's IP address and the request.

Children

Cryvane is not directed at children and contains nothing designed to attract them. It has no accounts, ads or tracking, and it does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information.

Your choices and deletion

There is no account and we hold no profile about you, so there is nothing for us to look up, delete or export. All controls are inside the app and work entirely on your device. Open Settings › Data & Privacy › Data on this device to see what is stored and to:

• Clear cached data: removes saved prices, charts and headlines;
• Reset watchlist: restores the default list of coins;
• Erase all app data: removes your settings, watchlist and cached data and returns the app to the welcome screen.

The same Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use and the data sources are also available inside the app under Settings › Data & Privacy, with no website needed. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.

Security

All connections the app makes use HTTPS. We hold no accounts or personal profiles, so there is no user database that could be breached.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
